Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support secure system design, development, and assessment across lifecycles and government programs. The role emphasizes information assurance, risk management, and compliance using RMF/NIST frameworks.

Level 2 focuses on security assessments, architecture development, and authorization activities, while Level 3 expands to leadership, mentorship, and enterprise security solutions across multi-enclave

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems Security Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as an ISSE supporting programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Validate system security requirements and align designs with objectives.
• Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA architectures, systems, and security components.
• Participate as security engineering on engineering teams for secure networking, computing, and enclaves.
• Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities.
• Support authorization activities per RMF/NIST and applicable processes.
• Review certification and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Assist in implementing trusted relationships among external systems.
• Recommend system-level solutions to address security requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, customers, and program stakeholders across lifecycle.
