Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the MAJESTIC Joint Program Office by performing advanced security engineering and architectural design for mission-critical IT systems. The ISSE will lead design, development, implementation, and validation of secure architectures, ensuring security controls are integrated across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure architectures and integrating RMF/security controls.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, ICD 503, DAAPM, and ATO processes.
• Ability to produce SSPs, diagrams, and control implementation descriptions.
• Demonstrated skills in risk assessments and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer secure system architectures with RMF alignment.
• Translate security requirements into technical specs and artifacts.
• Select and validate security controls and mitigations.
• Integrate security into system diagrams, data flows, and designs.
• Develop core security solutions: IAM, encryption, auditing, hardening.
• Embed security across lifecycle from requirements to sustainment.
• Create and support A&A documentation and evidence materials.
• Test security controls across applications, platforms, and networks.
• Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis.
