Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer in the Auburn Hills area to lead full lifecycle projects for custom DAQ and control systems. You will drive lab calibration, manage metrology practices, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver specialized test setups.

Required BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in controls, instrumentation, and ISO 17025. Proficiency in PLCs, LabVIEW, C#, C++, and embedded software is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in controls, instrumentation, and ISO 17025 compliance.
• Experience in control system/panel design, circuit design, embedded systems, instrumentation, and test bench support.
• Proficient programming in PLCs, LabVIEW, C#, C++, and embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Custom DAQ & Control Systems: Full project lifecycle from requirements to support.
• Dynamometer & Test Lab Support: Lead repair, upgrades, and calibration for dyno systems and test monuments.
• ISO/IEC 17025 Leadership: Implement and maintain the Quality Management System and lead calibration lab operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams and test labs to deliver test setups and train staff on quality standards.

• Dynamometer & Test Lab Support: Lead repair, upgrades, and calibration for dyno systems, controls, and test monuments across the Technical Center.
• ISO/IEC 17025 Leadership: Implement and maintain the Quality Management System, lead calibration lab operations, calculate measurement uncertainty, and serve as primary liaison for external audits and accreditation bodies.
