Job summary

American Water is seeking a Contract Compliance Specialist to manage contractor safety programs and ISNetworld-related processes. The role includes evaluating safety performance, processing waivers, and partnering with the Safety Director on safety initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s degree plus 2 years in contract compliance and safety, strong ISNet knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 10% for on-site evaluations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Project Management, Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• 2 years’ experience in systems, policies and procedures related to contract compliance and contractor safety compliance.
• Strong knowledge of ISNet and contractor safety compliance.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• The Engineering Contract Compliance Specialist manages contractor safety using ISNet and related systems to monitor grade compliance.
• Review and assess contractor safety performance to evaluate and apply for waivers to the QRC.
• Develop and track enhanced oversight plans for contractors needing safety improvements.
• Create reports to support safety/operational directives, including contractor evaluations.
• Collaborate with Safety Director on safety initiatives and assist in issue escalation.
