Job summary

Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is hiring for two full-time, year-round positions at 469 Market Street, Eastsound, WA. Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while delivering a great customer experience in a busy beverage department.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, stocking, inventory, and maintaining Woody’s Taphouse, with emphasis on product knowledge and safety. Prime Time Pay benefits apply on weekends.

Description

We are currently hiring two full time, year-round positions. Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY

Work with the Beverage Manager and other store personnel to provide customers with a memorable shopping experience. Proactively engage with customers to assist with beverage purchases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Possess a general understanding of beverage products to assist customers with purchases.
• Support the needs of the business in staffing, stocking, and maintaining the beverage department, including Woody’s Taphouse.
• Perform opening and closing procedures to ensure proper preparation and sanitation of Woody’s Taphouse.
• Support manager in maintaining inventory, stock levels, and replenishment based on established protocols.
• Continue to grow and develop your understanding of the craft beer industry, trends, breweries, and beers on tap at Woody’s Taphouse.
• Provide customers with a great shopping experience with a professional and positive attitude.
• Set up displays and stock shelves with new and replacement merchandise and rotate as needed.
• Complete accurate check-in of weekly deliveries from all beverage suppliers.
• Resolve all customer requests promptly and facilitate special order requests to ensure a positive experience.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced and tagged.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness, watching for outdated product, keeping displays faced and full.
• Maintain departmental cleanliness on a regular basis.
• Abide by all Island Market procedures and safety standards.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Benefits

• This position is eligible for Prime Time Pay. Prime Time Pay provides an additional $3/hour above the base rate for all hours worked Saturdays and Sundays and hours worked Monday through Friday between 6:00 pm and 3:00 am.
