Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a seasonal Bartender to greet guests, recommend menu items, and craft beverages and food in a fast-paced hotel setting. You’ll provide friendly, efficient service and stay knowledgeable about offerings and safety protocols.

This temporary role requires flexibility, a welcoming personality, and the ability to handle busy periods. Day and evening shifts with a $20.00/hour wage and opportunities for growth are offered by Island Hospitality.

Qualifications

• Be readily available and approachable for all guests while always extending professionalism.
• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
• Ensure the bar service space remains well-stocked at all times.
• Receive beverage orders and directing these to the kitchen, as needed.
• Cleaning and sanitizing table, countertops, and floors after each service.
• Collect payment for all transactions or charge transactions to guest accounts according to the IHM policy.
• Prepare and serve classic and innovative drinks while following all company, local, and state guidelines.
• Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption in order to address severe intoxication.

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
