Job summary

Little St. Simons Island Lodge seeks a dedicated garden manager to lead our organic garden, support hydroponics, and oversee composting and native landscaping. You will educate guests and collaborate with the chef on crop planning and seasonal harvests.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in commercial gardening, strong soil knowledge, and a passion for culinary gardening, with ability to lift 30 lbs and work in hot summer conditions on a beautiful barrier island.

Qualifications

• One year of experience growing produce in a commercial garden or farm.
• Understanding of soil management principles.
• Keen interest in culinary gardening.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Garden using organic methods with focus on soil building and pest management.
• Maintain garden infrastructure: irrigation, raised beds, composting systems.
• Collaborate with island chef on crops, timing, and harvests to minimize waste.
