SDSU Research Foundation is seeking a Project Manager for habitat restoration projects on San Clemente Island, CA. The role requires leadership to manage field teams, coordinate with Navy biologists, and produce technical reports and maps.

This full-time, hourly position includes housing on SCI, benefits, and a schedule of 10 days on the island with 4-day weekends off-island. Start date is December 15, 2026, with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: four-year college degree.
• Minimum experience: one year in technical research or statistical work.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks using adaptive management principles.
• Coordinate with SCI and Navy biologists.
• Ensure crew safety and compliance with Navy practices.
• Write quarterly and annual reports with maps.
• Maintain field equipment and GIS geodatabase.
