Saginaw Public Schools is seeking an In-School Interventionist with a Michigan teaching certification to supervise and monitor students in the ISI program. This SEA bargaining unit position emphasizes rapid turnaround and collaboration with teachers, families, and the community.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of classroom experience, strong behavior management skills, and the ability to work in a diverse, urban setting while maintaining a high standard of student engagement and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with middle or high school students.
• Current Michigan teacher certificate.
• Three or more years classroom experience with behavior management strategies.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision for students assigned to the In-School Suspension (ISI) classroom.
• Establish high standards and expectations for all students to accept responsibility for behavior.
• Review in-school suspension policies, procedures and student expectations with students daily.
• Maintain an atmosphere in which students are expected to remain seated and silent during the time period.
• Work with the administration to have in-school serve as an effective preventative disciplinary technique.
• Engage learners in differentiated learning experiences for varying skill levels and needs.
