Job summary

Carley Corporation seeks a Training Specialist to support the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) in Port Hueneme, CA. The role requires on-site work, an active Secret clearance, CAC access, and up to 10% travel.

You will design, develop, and implement ISD-based training solutions for DoD customers. Responsibilities include creating instructional materials, media selection, and developing tests and performance evaluations to ensure learning objectives are met.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in training system analysis and design and leading a multi-disciplinary training design implementation team.
• Experience with Seabee facilities and logistics.
• Experience in all phases of the ISD process, including planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training programs.
• Must have an active Secret clearance and/or have been active within the last 24 months, with CAC credentials to access military installations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, produce, and implement instruction using the ISD model.
• Select instructional media, materials, and equipment that support learning objectives.
• Plan and produce instructional materials.
• Identify relationships between training deficiencies and required training system modifications.
• Write training materials, including objectives, formats, and tests.
• Develop video and audio scripts, storyboards, graphics, and data files.
• Create instructor guides and student materials.
• Plan, develop, and review objectives, content, methods, resources, and evaluation procedures.
• Develop testing instruments and conduct formative and summative evaluations.
• Create testing plans and examiner guides.
• Assist with evaluations and apply findings to improve training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
