Job summary

Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 is seeking an In-School Detention Paraprofessional at Carson Middle School to supervise ISD/ISS students and maintain a safe, structured learning environment. You will support completion of assignments and communicate student progress with teachers and staff.

The role involves building supervision and classroom support as needed, with an 187‑day, 7.5‑hour workday schedule; a willingness to work with diverse student needs is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or 48 college hours or ACT WK certified.
• First Aid/CPR training required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ISD/ISS students and maintain a structured learning environment.
• Monitor and support student behavior and adherence to school expectations.
• Facilitate reflections, restorative activities, and accountability processes.
• Coordinate and monitor completion of assignments from teachers.
• Provide academic support and encourage student engagement.
• Communicate observations and progress to teachers and administrators.
