Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Specialty Mechanical Service Technician II to join our safety-conscious team.

The role focuses on leak repair, field machining, line isolation, and other industrial maintenance duties. Travel 50–70% and strong safety, documentation, and client teamwork are required. HS diploma and 5 years of experience are preferred; valid driver’s license is required; HAZWOPER is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma; further technical coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred.
  • Willing to travel 50-70% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • HAZWOPER training is a plus.

  • Ensures a safe and secure working environment by complying with safety standards and regulations.
  • Adheres to company policies and core values.
  • Diagnoses issues with leaking components and reports findings to supervisors and engineering teams.
  • Performs leak mitigation tasks and uses safety equipment as required.

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in Corpus Christi, TX is looking for a Specialty Mechanical Service Technician III to join their safety conscious team! The Specialty Mechanical Service Technician III will need to have qualifications in one or more of the following: Leak Repair, Field Machining, Line Isolation, NDT Hydrotesting, Hot Tapping & Line Stopping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures a safe and secure working environment by complying with company and customer safety standards and legal regulations. Promptly addresses any safety concerns.
  • Adheres to all company policies and demonstrates commitment to our core values.
  • Diagnoses issues with leaking components, reporting findings to supervisory staff and engineering teams.
  • Conducts leak mitigation tasks, which may include:
  • Identifies situations requiring the use of safety equipment.
  • Completes necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Works collaboratively with field teams, client representatives, and management.
  • Keeps informed about the company’s products and services to better assist customers.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be physically able to walk, climb, and perform field duties.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Good observational skills.
  • Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks.
  • Able to travel to off-site locations when necessary.
  • Skilled in multitasking and maintaining focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma is required; further education in a technical field or relevant college coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred.
  • Versatile in handling various tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Able to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with plant maintenance and repair is beneficial.
  • Able to follow supervisors' instructions precisely.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • HAZWOPER training certification is a plus.
  • Willing to travel 50-70% of the time
  • Based at a branch or on-site location.
  • Involves both indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings.
  • Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Working near production machinery with high noise levels.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to different job sites and weather conditions.
  • Travel to various sites may be required.
