Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an IS Supervisor to plan, lead, organize and coordinate the daily operations of the service line crew on site. You will ensure equipment is ready, drive efficiency, and maintain accurate job documentation for timely reporting.

The role requires environmental field service operations experience, ability to travel overnight, on-call readiness, and strong leadership to train technicians while enforcing safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Environmental field service operations experience
• Ability to travel overnight 2–4 nights per month
• On-call for emergency response situations
• Ability to pull a trailer via pickup truck (preferred)
• Ability to interface with clients and management
• Ability to manage project-related vendors
• Ability to manage, reconcile, and review all job-related documentation
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license
• Pass background check, drug test, and physical

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority and comply with safe work practices and policies
• Read work orders to verify equipment availability and operability
• Inspect equipment and work area before starting jobs
• Correct deficiencies that could cause accidents or impact client requirements
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required
• Complete paperwork including service receipts and submit to management
• Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service-line processes
• Operate all necessary equipment per training and safety procedures
• Lead safety meetings and ensure HPC safety policies are followed
• Meet deadlines and optimize resource use
• Instruct and assist crew to complete work per client requirements and company policies
• Follow local, state/provincial and federal regulations and company guidelines
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and other requirements
• Observe environmental health and safety guidelines
• Assist with site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis
