Your role and responsibilities

ABB Electrification is seeking an experienced Information Technology Solution Architect to work in enpower's architecture and platform technologies. As a Solution Architect in the ABB IS organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, international environment, solve complex problems, participate in building our IS solution capability, and grow together with the rapidly developing business. The IS Solution Architect needs a strong development background (.Net, ReactJS, SQL) to design and implement backend solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Implementing technical solutions using coding and design principles, utilizing various languages and technologies (C#, .Net Core, SQL, JavaScript/ReactJS, etc.)
• Collaborating with the business and team members to understand functional and technical requirements
• Identifying and managing risks to the delivery of the platform, including contingency plans to mitigate potential issues
• Contributing to IS Problem and IS Incident Management goals by addressing ticket volume, detecting recurring defects, and eliminating them
• Proactively supporting issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or negative impacts

Qualifications for the role

• 8-10 years of experience with SaaS software and standard web API system architecture
• Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in:
• o.NET Core, ASP.NET, REST, Windows services, SQL
• oContemporary web technologies (React.JS, Webpack, Babel.js, Node.js)
• oCloud Technologies: AWS and AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
• oContainerization technologies with Docker/Kubernetes, MACH
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to articulate complex information clearly to IT/application peers, business teams, and external customers
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues with limited information
• Experience overseeing code quality, branching control processes, and staying updated on emerging technologies
