HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Location is looking for an Equipment Operator to join their safety-conscious team! This team member is responsible for the safe and successful execution of jobs across all service lines and other responsibilities. The Equipment Operator serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial in maintaining ongoing relationships with clients and customers. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to perform a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine for full head and neck movement
  • Ability to operate a double trigger hydroblast shotgun and other hydroblast equipment with both hands
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding and platforms up to 200 feet high
  • Tolerance for confined spaces with a minimum of five (5) feet diameter
  • Ability to hold and operate a 66” pipe with 50 lbs. thrust for at least one hour
  • Physical capability to use respirators, including negative pressure and supplied air types
  • Experience driving heavy equipment for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear protective clothing and equipment, including Nomex coveralls, back belts, slickers, rubber boots, breathing masks, escape packs, and hard hats
  • Ability to work under extreme climate conditions, including high heat and humidity or sub-zero temperatures
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, exhaust, and pressurized fluids, with respirators provided when needed
  • Ability to work in noise levels exceeding 85 dBA, with hearing protection provided

Additional Requirements

  • Vocational safety training, on-the-job experience, and classroom safety training
  • Proficiency in English to understand safety instructions and respond in emergencies
  • Valid driver’s license and CDL Class A or B, complying with company driving policies
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers
  • Experience operating vacuum trucks and using electronic logging devices (smartphone required)
  • Understanding of wet and dry vacuum equipment operation
