Overview

The Epic Database Administrator I supports, monitors, and maintains Epic’s Cache, Clarity, and Caboodle databases to ensure availability, performance, and security. Duties include designing and implementing infrastructure, managing updates and backups, testing disaster recovery, resolving issues, and performing ETL processes. Provides customer service, technical troubleshooting, and on‑call support to maintain reliable operations. Epic Clarity and Caboodle Administrator experience or certification strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Carry out systems analysis and oversee the planning, design and implementation for large and complex systems, ensuring business area requirements are met.
• Schedule the work of systems analysts, providing technical guidance and mentoring, and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Document system design, testing, and maintenance procedures for future reference.
• Assure data integrity and system survivability by developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery plans for assigned systems.
• Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non‑functional requirements for new software or applications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and applications and recommend modifications to improve system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
• Oversee and coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing and end‑user training.
