Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a detail-oriented IS Bid Estimator to develop accurate and competitive service bids for Infrastructure Solutions at integrator locations. You will analyze project requirements, define scopes of work, and create comprehensive bid packages reflecting full cost and complexity.

The role collaborates with Sales Operations to ensure precise pricing that supports customer satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in bid estimating, cost estimation, or proposal development in data center infrastructure or construction.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple bids under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed IS service bids for site installation, commissioning, and service work.
• Define and refine scopes of work with Sales Operations.
• Analyze project specs, drawings, site conditions for pricing.
• Create labor estimates for bid packages.
• Review drawings and construction docs for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Field Engineering, PM, Purchasing, Operations.
• Track bids, win/loss outcomes and provide feedback.
• Support standard pricing models and estimating methodologies.
• Ensure bids comply with Vertiv standards and regulations.
• Assist in contract negotiations and handoffs.
