Job summary

City of New York seeks a CPSS-supervisor with strong casework experience to lead instant response teams. The role focuses on coordinating across ACS, NYPD, DA and medical examiner offices, ensuring timely information sharing and compliance with legal guidelines.

The incumbent will prepare case summaries, supervise staff, and maintain documentation in the relevant systems, contributing to child protection efforts citywide.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and 30 semester credits toward a Master of Social Work degree or toward a graduate degree in a related field.
• Eighteen months of child protective casework experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive reports of cases that fit the established criteria for an instant response (fatality, severe physical or sexual abuse).
• Coordinate IRT to facilitate sharing of information between ACS, NYPD, DA, Medical Examiner and other relevant parties.
• Prepare concise written case and summary reports according to professional and legal guidelines.
• Document all case-related actions in the Connections and IRTA applications.
