This is NOT an entry level position; at least 1 year of verified work experience as a Landscape Irrigation Technician is required. Candidates must provide a previous employer's contact information for verification!

STARTING RATE OF PAY IS $20 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE DEPENDING ON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD.

Minimum Requirements of the Role:

• Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Chauffeur’s Endorsement: A chauffeur’s (For Hire) endorsement or chauffeur’s license may be required.
• Previous experience: minimum of 1 year Landscape Irrigation Technician experience is necessary.
• DDOT Medical card: preferred; candidate already holds one. If not, you must pass a medical exam including a drug test (a federal requirement).

Here’s what you’d do:

An Irrigation Technician foresees potential problems and has the skills to solve them. Careful planning and proactive work-style are highly valued at BrightView. Your mindset and approach will meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshooting and repairing problems, observing pipe and valve placements, and evaluating start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of irrigation systems.
• Conducting and recording detailed inspections and planning/implementing upgrades of client systems.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems, along with supervisory skills and a proactive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to create and read site maps, colored charts, and legends.
