Job summary
Desert Mountain Club is seeking an Irrigation Technician to join the Agronomy team in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and monitoring all facets of the golf course irrigation system, including pumps, piping, and valves.
The candidate will work under supervision, with opportunities to grow in a premier private club environment. Ideal applicants have at least one year of golf course maintenance experience and familiarity with basic irrigation practices.
Qualifications
- One year of experience in golf course maintenance and familiarity with basic irrigation practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and repairing complex irrigation systems.
- Hand water the golf course as directed by supervisors.
- Read water flow meters and monitor system performance.
- Repair broken pipes and swing joints; perform preventive maintenance on valves and screens.
- Adjust head spacing and spray angles to ensure proper turf irrigation.
- Maintain drainage systems and assist with other irrigation-related tasks.
