Job Title

Irrigation Technician - Groundskeeping

Responsibilities

• Install and test current irrigation equipment and components.
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Perform field turf maintenance and related maintenance and repair tasks.
• Operate equipment and utilize hand tools necessary to install and/or repair irrigation components.
• Program and maintain current automated systems.
• Assist with work assignments and aid in the completion of required tasks.
• Complete daily activity reports and inspection forms.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skill in maintaining large-scale turf fields and campus landscaping.
• Knowledge of electronically controlled irrigation systems and programming functions.
• Knowledge of the installation and operation of irrigation systems and components.
• Knowledge of work methods, tools, equipment, and materials used to maintain and repair irrigation systems and components.
• Skill in maintaining records of the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate work assignments efficiently.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Possession of a valid driver license (Operator).
