Job summary
Jensen Landscape Services seeks an irrigation technician to perform irrigation work on project sites in California. Under limited supervision, the technician will read irrigation plans, install and maintain sprinkler systems, and ensure safety compliance.
The role involves using tools, wiring, and controller operations to support landscape projects. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of irrigation experience, valid CA driver license, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, tools, and irrigation wiring basics.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and wiring diagrams.
- Basic electrical understanding for controller repairs and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with power tools and equipment such as drills, jackhammers, trenchers, and tampers.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand irrigation plans.
- Create as-built drawings, site activity maps, diagnostics, and work orders.
- Repair pipes and irrigation valves up to 3 inches.
- Position sprinklers relative to grade, walls, and windows.
- Operate and adjust irrigation controllers and remote systems.
- Maintain safety and report injuries or unsafe conditions.
