Job summary

Forever Green Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Irrigation Technician to join our team in the Lowcountry. You will startup and shut down systems, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose repairs on commercial irrigation installations.

Qualifications

• Two-wire irrigation systems experience required.
• Minimum 2 years installing/troubleshooting commercial systems.
• Able to work independently and be self motivated.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro irrigation products.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Irrigation license or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Startup and shutdown of irrigation systems.
• Work with the office to create repair proposals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot irrigation systems.
• Diagnose and repair valves, wiring, decoders, controllers, and electrical issues.
• Repair sprinkler heads, lateral lines, main lines, and valves.
• Install and program irrigation controllers.
• Perform irrigation audits and seasonal adjustments.
• Identify water waste and recommend improvements.
• Communicate repairs and recommendations with Account Managers.
• Complete daily service documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for startup and shut down of systems
• Work with the office to create proposals for repair work
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot irrigation systems to determine repair needs
• Complete projects in the time that is allotted while paying attention to detail
• Diagnose and repair commercial irrigation systems
• Troubleshoot valves, wiring, decoders, controllers, and electrical issues
• Repair sprinkler heads, lateral lines, main lines, and valves
• Install and program irrigation controllers
• Perform irrigation audits and seasonal system adjustments
• Identify water waste and recommend improvements
• Communicate repairs and recommendations with Account Managers
• Complete daily service documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment
• Maintain a detailed inventory of parts and equipment being used and stocked
• Follow all company safety procedure

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Must have experience with two-wire irrigation systems
• Minimum 2 years' experience installing/troubleshooting existing commercial systems
• Able to work independently
• Self motivated
• Experience troubleshooting electrical irrigation systems
• Familiarity with Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro, and similar irrigation products
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
