Irrigation Technician – Optimize and Maintain Commercial and Residential Watering Systems

Job Overview

• Company: Lambs Lawn Service and Landscaping LLC
• Salary/Pay Rate: $24 - 32+ per hour based on experience.
• Location: Floyd Knobs, IN
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Monday through Friday (occasional overtime required during peak seasons).
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean three-year driving record.

The Opportunity

You will serve as the technical expert ensuring optimal water management and system health across diverse properties. This role empowers you to take ownership of complex irrigation projects while delivering high-quality solutions for a respected local industry leader. Your specialized skills will directly contribute to water conservation, property beauty, and long-term client trust.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex commercial and residential irrigation systems.
• Program, adjust, and optimize smart watering controllers to ensure maximum water efficiency.
• Repair and service mainline breaks, lateral lines, valves, and defective zone components.
• Execute seasonal system startups and comprehensive winterization blowouts across assigned routes.
• Map and document system layouts and zone configurations to maintain accurate property records.
• Identify and recommend system upgrades or conservation enhancements directly to clients.
• Maintain a well-stocked service vehicle to ensure rapid and efficient on-site repairs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven technical experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial and residential irrigation systems.
• Strong working knowledge of irrigation controllers, electrical valves, and low-voltage wiring.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret irrigation blueprints, zone maps, and technical specs.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions to customers.
• Physical capability to perform labor-intensive field tasks under various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Backflow prevention tester certification or advanced water management credentials.
• Experience installing and programming modern, Wi-Fi-enabled smart irrigation controllers.
• Bilingual communication skills with proficiency in both English and Spanish.
