Job summary

Prescription Landscape, Inc. is seeking a motivated Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems. You will also assist with snow and ice management as needed, while delivering top-tier customer service.

This non-exempt, at-will role under Minnesota law offers overtime eligibility and opportunities to grow professionally through certification support and team development.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience with compressors and winterizing irrigation systems.
• Troubleshooting irrigation issues.
• Ability to work in residential and commercial environments.
• Manual labor capable: bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs independently and 80 lbs with assistance.
• Certified Irrigation Technician or plan to obtain within first year.
• 2-Wire Decoder knowledge preferred.
• Pesticide Applicator License – Category A & E preferred.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Consistent attendance and timely task completion.
• Professional grooming and conduct standards.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing both residential and commercial irrigation systems while providing top-notch customer service. You’ll also assist with snow and ice management as needed. Our company will support your professional growth and help you obtain certifications to advance your career.

This is a non-exempt, at-will employee position under Minnesota Law. Non-exempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay.

What You’ll Do:

• Irrigation System Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems.


• Customer Support: Assist clients with irrigation system requests or concerns, ensuring high-quality service.


• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain assigned service line equipment, including trucks and trailers.


• Team Contribution: Participate in team meetings and provide input on service line equipment and operations.


• Facility Maintenance: Assist with organizing, cleaning, and maintaining company facilities.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License – Ability to maintain a clean driving record.


• Experience using compressors and winterizing irrigation systems.


• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix irrigation issues.


• Ability to work comfortably in both residential and commercial environments.


• Ability to perform manual labor: bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs independently and 80 lbs with assistance.


• Certified Irrigation Technician (or obtain certification within the first year).


• 2-Wire Decoder knowledge – Preferred but not required.


• Pesticide Applicator License – Category A & E preferred.


• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with customers and team members.


• Consistent attendance and timely task completion.


• Professionalism – Must meet company grooming and conduct standards.
