Responsibilities

• Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal needs, weather conditions, and water restrictions.
• Conduct system audits to ensure optimal performance and water conservation compliance.
• Repair or replace damaged irrigation components in a timely manner.
• Monitor water usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure all irrigation systems comply with local and state regulations, including Texas water conservation guidelines.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial irrigation systems including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and piping
• Perform routine system inspections to identify leaks, broken components, coverage issues, and inefficiencies
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation problems
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal needs, weather conditions, and water restrictions
• Conduct system audits to ensure optimal performance and water conservation compliance
• Repair or replace damaged irrigation components in a timely manner
• Experience with both 2-wire and conventional irrigation systems
• Monitor water usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure all irrigation systems comply with local and state regulations, including Texas water conservation guidelines
• Work closely with account managers, production managers, and maintenance crews to address client needs and property-specific requirements
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and system adjustments
• Operate tools and equipment safely, including trenchers, pipe cutters, wire trackers, and diagnostic tools
• Respond to service calls and emergency irrigation issues as needed
• Assist with system upgrades, renovations, and new irrigation installations
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Requirements

• -2+ years of commercial landscape irrigation experience (Irrigator/Irrigation Tech)
