Job summary

IRRIGATION ASSOCIATION is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to service irrigation systems and pump stations across residential communities, commercial spaces, and large turf sites in the Allentown area. You will diagnose, repair, and install components, program controllers, and coordinate with management to complete work orders.

• Must be able to diagnose and repair pumps, valves, controllers, wiring, and piping.
• Experienced with installation, piping layout, and controller programming.
• Capable of performing routine maintenance, winterization, and spring start-ups.

• Diagnosis & repair of pumps, motors, controllers, valves, and piping.
• Installation of new systems including pipes, components, and controllers/timers.
• Routine maintenance, winterization, and spring start-ups per guidelines.
• Electrical troubleshooting and water pressure management with smart irrigation tech.
• Complete work orders, flow reports, and inspection forms for management.
• Identify and request parts and materials needed for repairs and routine maintenance.

Job description

Maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and pump stations, for Residential Communities, Commercial Spaces, and large turf applications. Troubleshooting includes central control systems both computer-controlled & wireless controlled equipment, sprinklers & valves, pump stations, floating fountains/aerators. Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose standard problems with irrigation system, aerators and pump stations.

• Diagnosis & Repair: Identifying and fixing problems with pumps, motors, controllers, valves, and piping.
• Installation: Setting up new systems, including laying pipes, connecting components, and programming controllers/timers.
• Maintenance: Performing routine checks, winterization, and spring start-ups to prevent costly failures. Perform routine inspections on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Technical Work: Handling electrical troubleshooting, water pressure management, and working with smart irrigation technology.
• Reporting: Complete all work orders, flow reports and inspection forms and submit to management.
• Parts & Materials: Identify and request parts & materials necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
