Job summary

Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon is seeking an Irrigation Technician to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair complex irrigation systems across Ranch grounds and participating properties. You will diagnose leaks, valve and controller issues, adjust schedules, and perform seasonal start-up, winterization, and documentation while coordinating with Maintenance, Grounds, and Facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read irrigation layouts, diagrams, maps, and basic electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems across Black Butte Ranch.
• Diagnose leaks, valve, controller, and coverage issues; repair components as needed.
• Adjust controllers, schedules, zones, heads, and coverage for healthy landscapes and water conservation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine system inspections.
• Coordinate and complete irrigation winterization and start-up for homeowners and Ranch assets.
