Job summary

Environmental Management Inc. is seeking an Irrigation Service Technician in Central Ohio. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing residential and commercial irrigation systems, with independent work alongside operations and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of irrigation experience, knowledge of controllers and wiring, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years irrigation service, repair, or installation experience.
Strong knowledge of irrigation components, controllers, valves, wiring, and sprinkler parts.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation and electrical issues.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair irrigation issues including leaks, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, and controllers.
Perform system inspections and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot electrical components, control systems, sensors, pumps, and controllers.
Program and adjust controllers to maximize efficiency and water conservation.
Complete spring start-ups, mid-season inspections, and winterization services.
Document repairs, parts used, and service recommendations; maintain records.
Communicate findings and options clearly to customers; ensure satisfaction.
Operate service vehicles and follow safety policies.
