Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsibilities include troubleshooting & repair of irrigation systems and pump stations, with an emphasis on golf course & other large turf applications. Troubleshooting includes central satellite control systems, both computer-controlled & radio-controlled equipment, wire tracking, weather stations, sprinklers & valves, pump stations, and floating fountains.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose standard problems with customer’s equipment.
2. Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
3. Perform standard repairs on customer’s equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.
4. Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
5. Complete all work orders and timesheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
7. Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Graduate or GED and/or two to four years of related experience.
• Electrical background.
• Pump background.
• VFD experience.
• Reside or relocate to the area of service required.
• Overnight travel is required.
• Must be a self-starter and work with little supervision.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools.
