Job summary
The Wonderful Company is seeking an Irrigation Maintenance I to support preventative maintenance and field operations at Wonderful Orchards. You will work under supervision, move between tasks, assemble and inspect irrigation pumps, perform basic troubleshooting, and operate forklifts and service trucks.
Safety protocols and PPE are required, with on-site farm maintenance at various locations. The role emphasizes hands-on work, equipment upkeep, and adherence to standard procedures in a farming
Qualifications
- Consistently follow standard work and procedures.
- Satisfactory reading comprehension of manuals, directions, safety hazards
- Satisfactory communication skills including writing emails, texts, report outs
- Self-directed with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to read land depth, length, voltage measurements
Responsibilities
- Assist with assembling, inspecting, cleaning, and replacing irrigation pump and motor equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on pumps, valves, and fittings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance such as oiling motors and greasing pumps.
- Support setup for new water well development.
- Operate basic heavy equipment (forklifts, service trucks).
- Perform general farm maintenance and maintain shop cleanliness.
- Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
