Job summary

Walmart is seeking a qualified Technician in Facility Services, Irrigation Exterior Services to maintain irrigation systems and outdoor environments. You will work hands-on to install, repair, and troubleshoot components, while coordinating with teams and adhering to safety policies.

The role requires 1–3 years in landscaping/irrigation, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in landscaping/irrigation, including plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid, state-issued driver's license.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• Education: relevant training or certifications in irrigation or landscaping are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components: wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, mains and laterals.
• Operate equipment for pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation.
• Order supplies and obtain quotes from contractors when needed.
• Recommend upgrades and replacements of systems and equipment.
• Respond to work orders and communicate via various channels.
• Utilize phones, tablets, and laptops to document work orders and logs.
• Adhere to safety policies and report violations.
• Perform seasonal maintenance like winterizing and spring startup.
