Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Facilities Services Department is seeking a skilled Landscape Technician to perform a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks. You will work under the Landscape Supervisor and support irrigation systems, planting, pruning, and general site care on UCSF campus properties.

Responsibilities include irrigation installation/repair, tree and shrub care, hardscape maintenance, and safe operation of power tools, with an emphasis on

Qualifications

One year experience as a laborer/gardener and ability to operate assigned tools and equipment.
Clear oral and written English communication with customers and staff.
Working knowledge of water management and irrigation repair.
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and complete multiple projects on schedule.
Ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods and climb extension ladders.

Responsibilities

Perform irrigation installation, repair, and water management tasks.
Plant trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and perform pruning.
Maintain lawns, groundcovers, and hardscape elements; service site furnishings and outdoor artwork.
Operate and maintain power tools safely; handle materials and refuse/recycling disposal.
