Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating landscape maintenance equipment (mower, edger, trimmer, blower, sprayers, etc.).
• Ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
• Ability to interact positively with campus community in a multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of pruning and grounds practices.
• Twelve months of grounds operation experience or equivalent training preferred.
• Must be able to drive small trucks and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Landscape maintenance responsibilities include weeding, pruning, mulching, and irrigation system support.
• Landscape construction/repair tasks include soil prep, planting, and turf work.
• Beat policing/inspection duties involve litter removal, graffiti checks, and reporting issues.
• Irrigation maintenance includes head/valve cleaning and minor repairs.
• Tree maintenance covers pruning/thinning up to 25 feet and removal as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties include cleaning, road/creek maintenance, and emergency support.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and attend training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
