Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks a Groundskeeper for Athletics to mow, edge, and maintain turf in specialized areas. The role includes irrigation oversight, applying seed and chemicals, snow removal, and general maintenance across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
• Two years of landscape or grounds related experience or two years of experience with light general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mows, trims, and edges grass and turf in specialized areas using riding or push mowers and edgers.
• Oversees irrigation systems including inspections and repairs for proper watering schedules.
• Applies seed, fertilizer and chemicals.
• Performs snow and ice removal with hand tools and power equipment.
• Maintains and repairs irrigation equipment (sprinklers, valves, controllers, pipes).
• Transports parts, tools, equipment, and materials.
• Performs other duties including building maintenance; drives university vehicles; provides 24-hour emergency response.
