Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Department of Transportation Driver’s License prior to hire.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Obtain and Maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Identify Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Maintains district-wide irrigation systems and controls; repairs, replaces, and adjusts sprinkler heads and lines.
• Troubleshoots irrigation timers, wires, solenoids, and valves; locates low voltage wiring and line breaks.
• Maintains tools and equipment; fabricates PVC piping, fittings, and valves as needed.
• Records and communicates work orders, materials, labor hours, and actions.
• Oversees irrigation equipment; evaluates and resolves related issues.
• Documents tasks in the work order system; reviews outstanding tasks.
• Performs daily paperwork; purchases repair parts and manages inventory.
• Conducts inspections; reports deficiencies and corrective actions to supervisor.
• Develops and updates operating instructions for irrigation controls and schedules.
• Performs other duties as required.
