• Obtain and Maintain an Arizona DPS Identity Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

• Maintains district-wide irrigation systems, including controls, timers, and repairs, replaces and adjusts sprinkler heads.
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning irrigation timers, wire breaks, solenoids, and valves; locates low voltage wires and breaks in line.
• Maintains tools and equipment; fabricates PVC piping, fittings, and valves as needed.
• Informs personnel regarding procedures and status of work orders; assists other trades personnel.
• Oversees irrigation equipment, evaluates current equipment and resolves related problems.
• Records and submits all required task information on the district work order system; reviews tasks and outstanding orders.
• Performs daily paperwork; purchases repair parts and maintains inventory.
• Performs inspections of irrigation and controls systems; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
• Develops and maintains operating instructions for irrigation controls and schedules at district facilities.
• Performs other duties as required.
