Job summary

Crossland Construction Company Inc. is hiring for a steel erector role. You will read blueprints, rig and signal crane operations, bolt and weld steel members, and work with a team to place girders and decking on active projects.

This position requires travel, physical endurance, and adherence to safety protocols. Drug screens and background checks are standard for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets construction drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Becomes certified as a Rigger and as a Signal Person per project needs.
• Operates welding equipment and hand/power tools safely on site.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment for lifting structural steel.
• Install rigging from steel members to hoist hook and control loads.
• Signal hoisting operations to lift and place members.
• Bolt, weld, and align structural components per specs.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet project schedules.
