Job summary

Stinger Bridge & Iron seeks skilled Ironworkers to establish and install steel frames for building structures. The work includes reading blueprints, unloading materials, signaling crane operators, cutting and welding iron and steel, aligning components, bolts/welds connections, and installing metal decking.

Work site is in Arizona with travel to support projects regionally. Physical capability to lift 75 pounds and an apprenticeship or field experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug-test.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel so that it can be lifted with slings.
• Signal crane operators who lift and position structural and reinforcing iron and steel.
• Use shears, rod-bending machines, torches, hand tools, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld the structural and reinforcing iron and steel.
• Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally, using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.
• Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds.
• Install metal decking.
