Job summary

LPR Construction is seeking helpers for our ironworker team under the LPR Apprentice Program. After 6 months, employees qualify for paid training that follows the NCCER curriculum and is DOL certified. Apprentices receive regular pay raises and promotions as they progress.

Qualifications

• Normal construction job site conditions to include loud noises, dust, potential unseen hazards, and heavy equipment operating within close range.
• May include exposure to heights at times in excess of 40 feet.
• May include confined spaces, being exposed to outdoor elements for long periods of time, and may work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in layout, assembly and installation of structural steel.
• Take measurements, assist with rigging, unload and shake out material.
• Bolt-up, detailing, laying deck and fastening structural steel members as needed.
• Install safety line and posts.
• Clean work area and help keep it safe.
• Firewatch or other spotter duties.
