Job summary

Optimized Process Designs LLC (OPD) seeks an Ironworker for our Carthage, TX site. You will assemble and secure structural supports, install steel, and rig loads under crane supervision as part of a safety-focused team.

Travel to remote sites is required; long shifts, physical endurance, and strict safety adherence are essential. NCCER certification is preferred; gas plant construction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of ironworker experience.
• Must follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Must wear an approved full body harness and lanyard on elevated platforms.
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal).
• Willingness to travel with extended periods away from home.
• Able to work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week when required.
• Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications.
• Practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation.
• Use tools to adjust and fasten steel beams.
• Lift and move heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attach loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
• Rig and handle loads safely and effectively.
• Communicate with rigging team and crane operator.
• Must know standard crane hand signals.
• Assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely.
