Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks an Ironworker for our Mont Belvieu, TX jobsite. You will assemble and secure structural supports, install steel components, and coordinate lifting operations with the rigging crew to ensure safe, efficient construction.

The role requires crane signaling knowledge, strict adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work up to 12 hours days, including travel to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of ironworker experience.
• Knowledge of crane hand signals.
• Ability to wear an approved full-body harness and lanyard.
• Willingness to travel with extended periods away from home.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week if required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications.
• Practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation.
• Use of tools to adjust and fasten steel beams.
• Lift and move heavy equipment using mechanical equipment.
• Attach loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and related gear.
• Rig loads and communicate with the rigging team and crane operator.
• Assess weights of loads to lift safely and follow crane hand signals.
