Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an ironworker for the Four Horizons Wind Project in Seymour, TX. The role involves marking, positioning, and securing structural steel, as well as assisting with rebar work and crane operations on site.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience (preferred), and required equipment certifications. Expect physical duties, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards on a major construction site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Equipment certifications as required.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations and manuals; basic math; work independently.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs; and over 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, flag, and inspect a crane; inspect rigging properly.
• Check deliveries against bills of lading; direct forklift/crane operations.
• Count bars, rebar, dobies, and wire mesh.
• Shake out and tie rebar; cut and trim pieces as needed.
• Install rebar splices and caps; position rebar in footings.
• Determine reinforcing layout from blueprints or notes.
• Climb ladders and participate in crane erection/teardown.
• Assist with ornamental ironwork and relate with diverse teams.
