The role involves rigging, bolting and riveting to form sturdy structures, following safety standards and coordinating with team members to deliver completed framework.

The preferred candidate has 3–5 years of journeyman level experience and holds valid state ID and driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of journeyman level experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and select materials.
• Knowledge of rivet, bolt and weld fastening methods.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required material for construction.
• Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
• Fastens steel members to cable of hoist using chain, cable or rope.
• Guides structure being lifted into proper position and aligns rivet holes with corresponding holes.
• Drives drift pins through rivet holes.
• May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
• Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment using plumb bob and level; bolts align members until permanently riveted, bolted or welded.
• Bolts aligned structures to keep them in position until permanently riveted, bolted or welded into place.
• Other duties as assigned.

Performs duties to raise, place and unite girders, columns and other structural steel members to form completed structures or structure framework. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
