Job summary

Chainalysis in the United States seeks a Iran-focused intelligence analyst to own deep Iran attribution end-to-end. You will map on-chain activity, identify sanctions-relevant patterns, and produce finished intelligence for customers and partners.

Work with a globally distributed team across time zones, bring on-chain tracing expertise, and translate intelligence into actionable guidance for products and customers.

Qualifications

• Deep, demonstrable Iran expertise across IRGC/IRGC-QF, proxies, and sanctions
• On-chain tracing against Iranian targets with proven blockchain analytics
• National-security or threat-finance background desirable
• Excellent writing and communication for external audiences
• AI-forward mindset to scale analysis with automation
• Experience with data forensics and crypto illicit activity patterns
• Regional knowledge of Iran geopolitics and financial networks

Responsibilities

• Own Iran attribution end to end, including threat actors, infrastructure, and sanctions implications
• Lead attribution response to Iran-related sanctions events
• Map Iranian networks on-chain: VASPs, exchanges, mixers, no-KYC swaps, mining
• Produce finished intelligence: advisory notes, briefings, publications
• Be the external expert representing Chainalysis on Iran crypto threats
• Set Iran collection agenda and direct data requirements
• Translate typologies into detection guidance for products/customers
• Build automation to scale analysis and assist the team
• Mentor and elevate the Iran threat-finance capability across the team
