The IR (Interventional Radiology) Technologist - Vascular assists in performing diagnostic angiographic procedures as well as complex vascular interventional surgeries in the operating room setting, such as: arteriography, venography, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, stent placement, vascular embolization, mechanical thrombectomy, athrectomy, aortic aneurysm repair and all other endovascular procedures. Responsible for obtaining all equipment needed for a procedure, positioning and imaging patients, resolving equipment issues, and demonstrating knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation.
Minimum Education: Graduate of a 2 year AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology

Required Certifications/Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R);
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (VI) in Vascular-Interventional Radiology or registration obtained within two (2) years of transition into position;
Current South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) current license;
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
