Job summary

Prostate Centers USA is seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support procedures in our outpatient setting. You will prep patients and rooms, maintain a sterile environment, pass instruments to physicians, and assist with positioning and transfers.

You’ll review orders, assist with IV medications, manage equipment, and help ensure accurate billing and documentation while adhering to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid BLS Certification required.
• Scrub Tech experience: 2 years.
• ARRT Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys
• Ensures effective communication with physicians
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes
