Job summary

IR Centers is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support surgeries by preparing patients and rooms, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting during procedures with instrument transfers.

You will help position patients, manage supplies, and coordinate with physicians while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This full-time role is Monday through Friday, with a focus on quality patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• Surgical technologist / Scrub Tech experience: 2 years.
• ARRT // CST Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine materials and sets up/cleans rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.

Job Type: Full-time,Monday through Friday

As aInterventional Radiology Technologist, you will assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, and help with patient positioning and transfers.

• Surgical technologist / Scrub Tech experience: 2 years

• ARRT // CST Certification (Preferred)

Skills

• Proven working experience as a surgical technologist

• Proficient in maintaining a sterile field

• Experienced in scrubbing in for surgical procedures

• Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations

• Working knowledge of interventional equipment

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
