Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an IR Technologist 2 for Interventional Radiology to perform advanced diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures, supporting radiologists in high-acuity and emergent cases. This role requires independent judgment, sterile technique, and strict radiation safety to produce diagnostic-quality images across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required.
• IRT registry eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex angiographic procedures using sterile techniques.
• Position and transfer patients and prepare for examinations.
• Document exam data entry and ensure proper charges.
• Assist radiologists during interventional procedures with venous access.
• Maintain records, logs, and documentation per policy.
• Support departmental workflow and participate in quality initiatives.
