Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners is seeking an IR Sedation Nurse (RN) to assess patients and develop care plans for those undergoing moderate sedation during radiology procedures.

The role requires careful attention to patient safety, phlebotomy and monitoring, and coordinating with medical staff. The ideal candidate holds an accredited RN program credential, an active state license, and CPR certification, with at least one year of medical/surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited program.
• Current State License is required to practice.
• Current CPR certification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in line with policies and regulations.
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and address patient concerns.
• Monitor vitals intra- and post-operatively and document sedation process.
• Administer sedation medications via IV and ensure airway safety.
• Train new nurses and medical assistants as needed.
